Host/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. You will handle guest inquiries, manage reservations, and process transactions while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the establishment and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
• Operate the POS system accurately to process orders and payments.
• Assist guests with menu selections and provide information about daily specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant's offerings and services.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of food service operations and hotel hospitality standards is beneficial.
• A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
