What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office staff for houseplant nursery position at The Green Escape?
The Green Escape tropical foliage nursery is looking for an employee with strong interpersonal skills to work in the office of our commercial nursery as a customer service representative. Job would entail answering messages and assisting the packing warehouse with any logistical issues that may arise with outgoing shipments. strong computer and customer service skills are required as you will be dealing directly with employees and customers each day . Other responsibilities would include inputting listings on our various on line platforms. Creating Pick list and labels for shipping on a daily basis using the platforms we are on in conjunction with our shipping software. Strong keyboard skills are necessary.
Work hours are typically 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. However, work hours can last till 6:30 pm on heavy workload days. We offer our employees perks such as time and a half on bank holidays and a discount on plants.
You will be trained by our current employees. You will receive $16/ hour until proficiency is reached in answering 20 messages per hour, completing FDA certificate forms and completing a pick list and labels within a reasonable time frame. Once proficiency is achieved you will receive $18/ hour.
We currently have 32 employees and there is room for upward movement/growth in our company as we are growing every day!
