What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at The Grecian Center?
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications (tables, linens, place settings, décor, etc.)
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Maintain buffet lines and ensure food is properly stocked and presented
- Clear tables, dishes, and glassware throughout the event
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work closely with kitchen and event staff to ensure timely service
- Respond quickly to guest requests and resolve issues professionally
- Break down and clean up event spaces after functions
- Assist with end-of-night duties, including running all dishes and removing trash
Qualifications
- Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
