Position Summary
In this role, the Senior Coordinator will be part of the Supply Chain team specific to partner agencies. This role is responsible for maintaining the inbound delivery of trucks and member agencies’ vehicles as they arrive for a scheduled appointment and leave when product loading is complete. The objective of this role is to provide oversight to the drivers visiting the site to ensure all safety and security standards are met while providing the best customer service during the process.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet the drivers of our Partner Agencies and assign a dock door to the Agency.
- After the agency has backed into the dock door. Secure the keys to the vehicle in the designated area.
- Walk around the vehicle to ensure safety protocols are met.
- Verify that agency vehicles have been properly blocked before any loading begins.
- Verify that agency vehicles are at the correct dock height prior to loading to ensure safe loading of pallets.
- Communicate door assignments to GBFB shippers and initiate the shipping process in AGI (Warehouse Management System).
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free shipping area and immediately address any safety concerns to comply with organizational requirements. Inspect that pallets are built properly and are safe for transport.
- Ensure agency volunteers and drivers adhere to all GBFB safety policies while on the shipping dock, including: agencies need to wait in the designated waiting area behind the yellow guard rail, no food or drink (including chewing gum), no cell phone use, no use of GBFB equipment, wearing closed toe shoes, displaying a visible name tag, and using the designated entry and exit doors.
- Follow all American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards.
- Foster relationships with agencies through outstanding customer service.
- Handle agency issues related to shipping or safety issues and follow up. Utilize Salesforce to document issues and agency updates.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by Management, provide support to other team members on ongoing projects and cross-training in other Agency Relations roles to cover for other team members when they are absent (Marketplace, Cross Dock and Office).
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s Diploma preferred or 1 to 2 years of directly related experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Safety Certification Preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage complaints and questions diplomatically and professionally.
- Ability to work positively and professionally with people of diverse experiences and backgrounds.
- Personable, Flexible, team player
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Salesforce, AGI and NetSuite desirable
- Ability to collaborate with other departments.

- Experience working in operations/warehousing is a plus.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems to perform data entry functions preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish and/or Haitian Creole skills are a plus.

Work Location
- Onsite: This role follows a fully in-person and on-site schedule. This means incumbents in this role will be required to work each workday from an assigned office work location, including GBFB headquarters (70 South Bay Ave) and possibly any other work-related sites.
Salary : $26 - $29
