Duties
- Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to company policies.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training and development to enhance team performance.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting to maintain financial accuracy.
- Develop effective marketing strategies and promotional displays to increase store traffic and sales.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze retail math metrics, and implement action plans to achieve targets.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.
- Supervise shift scheduling, employee orientation, and team management to foster a productive work environment.
- Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, staff, and management teams effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and operational procedures at all times.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on supervising teams.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Strong background in inventory management, POS systems, merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail math.
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
