What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Nanny for a Music Artist Family + Relocation position at The Grapevine Agency?
Travel Nanny for a Music Artist Family Relocation
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Travel including a 90-Day Domestic Tour
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $150k/yr paid time off & sick days and relocation assistance
A young, high-profile hip hop artist and his family are seeking a full-time Travel Nanny to join them for a 90-day domestic tour before relocating with them to Salt Lake City, Utah (or potentially New York) for a long-term role. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, adaptable, and family-oriented professional who loves travel, music, and working with young children.
You will care for two children (ages 2 and 4) while traveling with the family on a tour bus and staying in various cities across the U.S. The tour ends November 13th. Following the tour, you will relocate with the family and continue in a full-time capacity.
The family is also expecting a new baby at the end of February, so candidates must have strong newborn experience and be confident supporting a busy household with multiple children.
This position requires someone comfortable with a travel-heavy lifestyle that does not follow a fixed structure or routine. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, can adapt easily to changing schedules, and naturally steps in wherever needed to support the family. This role may revolve into a ROTA nanny role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and adapt the children’s daily routines while traveling (naps, meals, activities, bedtime).
Support developmental skill-building and encourage positive manners and social skills.
Always ensure the children’s safety while on the tour bus, backstage, and in public settings.
Research each tour stop to find age-appropriate activities, parks, museums, and family-friendly attractions.
Assist with planning and coordinating outings in each city.
Help prepare and serve healthy meals/snacks for the children.
Work closely with the mother, offering flexibility and support as tour/travel schedules shift.
Assist with packing/unpacking and maintaining the children’s belongings while traveling.
Provide infant care and assist the mother with newborn duties once the baby arrives.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced with newborns, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
Young, energetic, and adaptable with a genuine love for travel.
Comfortable with nontraditional schedules and frequent travel.
Prior travel nanny or tour experience is highly desirable.
Background in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or similar preferred.
Skilled at maintaining discretion and professionalism with high-profile families.
Creative, engaging, and able to bring a sense of calm and structure in changing environments.
