This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and experience in pet care or grooming settings. Prior experience working with dogs is a plus. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate grooming services
- Handle phone inquiries, provide information about services, and assist with client questions
- Maintain accurate records of client visits, treatments, and pet information
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for pets and clients
- Support the team with animal handling, restraint, and basic pet care as needed
- Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment to support grooming operations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols when handling animals or equipment
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience in pet grooming or animal care preferred
- Knowledge of dog handling and restraint techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
