What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food and Beverage Hourly Supervisor position at The Grand & Little America Hotel, Utah?
This is a full time position. Full benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance after 60 days, as well as floating holidays and sick pay. Vacation (40 hours) available after 90 days of employment. Must be available weekends and holidays. Must be able to communicate clearly in English (read, speak, and write.)
Position Summary
Oversees daily operations across multiple outlets, including the lobby lounge, Gibson Bar, in-room dining, and outdoor pool. Ensures exceptional service, operational efficiency, and a seamless luxury guest experience. Provides support to the full-service restaurant as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support daily operations across all assigned outlets
- Deliver and model attentive, personalized guest service; resolve concerns promptly
- Lead, coach, and support team members to maintain service and product standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service requirements
- Assist with scheduling, staffing levels, and shift coverage
- Monitor quality, presentation, and cleanliness across all areas
- Support restaurant operations during peak periods or as business demands
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or lead experience in food & beverage, preferably upscale or luxury
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds).
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts
