The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing inbound logistics operations, ensuring efficient and effective coordination of inbound shipments to support production and distribution activities. This role involves supervising a receiving team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize inbound logistics processes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible and?required?to notify management about actual or potential food safety?issues;?and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. If this position is vacant for any significant?period of?time?the obligation for completion of all food safety and quality related tasks will become the responsibility of the direct manager or a qualified designee.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in inbound logistics management or a similar supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of transportation modes, logistics software, and shipping/receiving regulations. Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) is a plus.
Skills/ Knowledge
Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing logistics team. Proven track record of implementing process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and operational efficiencies in inbound logistics operations. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software, such as TMS and WMS.

- Implement inbound logistics strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Monitor and review inbound logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, lead times, inventory accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Track specific key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost-saving measures, process optimization, and revenue generation within inbound logistics operations.
- Supervise inbound logistics team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of inbound shipments from suppliers to warehouses or production facilities, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues, and optimize transportation routes ensuring 100% product readiness.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, procedures, and safety standards for inbound logistics activities.
- Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment processes in coordination with Procurement and Inventory Control teams.
- Provide regular reports, updates, and recommendations to management on inbound logistics performance, trends, and opportunities.
- Enforce and uphold safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements. Regularly observes, coaches and reviews employees’ performance in regard to safety, accuracy, and results. Implement safety protocols and measures to minimize workplace incidents.
