Bell Service Attendants familiarize our guests with accommodations and room offerings, transports luggage to their rooms, valet parking, and anticipates any guests’ needs. Responsibilities:
- Open the front door for guests, assisting with directions that best align with their visit.
- Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations in a prompt, friendly, and informative manner.
- Organize, store, retrieve, and transport guest luggage with care. Assist with loading and unloading guest vehicles.
- Carefully inspect, record, and drive valet vehicles to and from the designated valet parking areas, including noting any pre-existing damage before moving the vehicle.
- Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with room features and amenities of the hotel.
- Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Assist with room moves, special deliveries, dry cleaning delivery, and package/delivery receiving as needed.
- Provide accurate directions, maps, brochures, and local area information.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, amenities, hours of operation, local attractions, and special events to proactively anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
- Verbally pass along all appropriate information to the Guest Services Manager/Bell Captains regarding any relevant feedback from guests or other departments.
- Communicate and coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures.
- Coordinate the traffic of vehicles in front of the hotel (guests' cars, limousines, taxis, rideshares, minivans, and buses).
- Responsible for always maintaining a clean and tidy work area, including the lobby, bell closet, and hotel entrance area.
- Uphold luxury service standards in appearance, language, and guest interactions at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols when operating guest vehicles and handling luggage, including proper use of luggage carts and bell closet organization.
- Support team members during high-volume periods, special events, and VIP arrivals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience required; previous hotel, hospitality, or valet experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk quickly and/or climb stairs while carrying luggage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (full shift, 8 hours).
- Must be able to work outdoors under a covered parkway in extreme heat or cold.
- Proficient conversational English language skills required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury hotel environment.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be available to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
