Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Dean of Strategic Enrollment & Marketing and the daily work will be managed by the Admission Operations Manager.
HOURS - Part-time, non-exempt staff position working from September through May, not to exceed 950 hours. Hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily. Occasional nights and weekends might be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, hardworking, and responsible, and will enjoy a very busy work environment in which he or she will meet many people on a daily basis. The Governor’s Academy is a non-smoking campus.
SALARY RANGE
$22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Please note that the quoted salary range is not a guarantee of the final salary offer. Variables include years of work experience, industry-specific experience, education level, etc.

Our 456-acre campus is located thirty miles north of Boston and five miles south of Newburyport, a classic New England coastal town. Govs has approximately 400 students and 250 employees.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Entering data
- Managing applicant files
- Assisting with all department mailings, electronic and paper
- Assisting with event logistics, virtual and in person
- Scheduling visits and interviews
- Welcoming prospective students and parents
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and/or 3 or more years of equivalent work experience.
- Ability to organize workload, multi-task, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.
- Proven ability to navigate electronic platforms, such as Google Suite.
- Experience working within a CRM platform (Veracross, Gateway, and SAO are preferred but not required).
- Must be detail oriented, with particular attention to accurate, timely data entry and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Prior work experience in an Admissions office is not required, though some knowledge of independent and/or boarding school life is preferred.
- Must be able to work collegially; must be committed to working in a diverse community and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
