Looking for:
Senior Manager of Production for Wholesale Swimwear/Outerwear company drives the seasonal production process Private Label programs including Kohls and Wal-Mart. Manages the costing, development and timely delivery of quality goods.
About the Role
Specific Responsibilities:
- Set and articulate timeline expectations and ensure timely delivery according to development calendar
- Lead cross-functional team in troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving quality and technical issues; drive efforts in special garment development and enhancements and modifications to designs and materials, including line and discount/derivative products, to maintain aesthetic and achieve financial goals
- Drive and perform competitive research; continuously evaluate marketplace to identify and review applicability of key trends in manufacturing, fabrications and construction; identify significant innovations and share with partners in Sales and Design on regular basis; oversee maintenance of archive of materials, hardware, etc. for production
- Partner with their, Sales, Merchandising and Operations teams, as well as vendors and factories
- Manage capacity planning and performance management by sourcing office, region, country and vendor; define and oversee accurate costing models; partners with Sales and Design to project production needs, make commitments to raw materials, where appropriate; allocate production across vendors and reserve production space
- Partner with the Sales, Merchandising and Operations teams, as well as factories to ensure adequate flow of goods relative to orders and anticipated demand criteria
- Lead, plan and track all shipments departures and arrivals. Lead overseas operations
- Create and maintain all reporting for all production operations
Customers & Relationships
- Cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with Partner teams
- Manage communications and feedback between customers and internal partners in Sales, Design and Production
- Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary
- Involved in line adoption with the Partner teams and internal sales and design teams
Qualifications
- Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/design
- Extensive knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
- 5-7 years' experience in apparel production and sourcing; significant relevant experience in the category
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products
