Hiring Swimwear/Outerwear Production Coordinator.
The Production Coordinator ensures that the production follows the planned schedule and budget. Review customer’s purchase order or buy sheet and build detailed and accurate cost sheets. Communicate with factories and sales/designers to organize all information and ensure correct information is received and released to factories for bulk production. Track and follow up all production deliverables and status to run smoothly.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and track all email communications with factories and suppliers to ensure production standards and timelines are met.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams (sales, design, technical) and external partners (factories, overseas offices, buyers) to ensure production goals and expectations are aligned.
- Support the full production lifecycle — from order placement through to delivery — ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time execution.
- Set up and maintain master cost charts for swimwear and private label programs.
- Analyze new textiles, raw materials, and production costs to recommend cost-effective and production-friendly solutions.
- Issue detailed Excel buy sheets for factories, working with BOMs, Sketch Sheets, Line Sheets, label/hangtag/packaging requirements, and HTS code determinations.
- Utilize Blue Cherry system for style master setup, entering and updating costing and style data as needed.
- Update and maintain comprehensive production reports; review PSRs from overseas offices to ensure accurate order tracking.
- Monitor and follow up on samples for private label programs, ensuring timely delivery for sales team and buyer reviews.
- Review and maintain required lab test reports and certifications for production compliance.
- Track and manage all order processing and documentation, maintaining accurate records and status updates.
- Provide weekly production status reports and escalate potential issues proactively.
Qualifications
- 3- 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in the apparel industry.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
- A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
