Business Development Specialist – M&A
Location: Manhattan, Financial District
Salary: $95,000 - $135,000
Summary:
The Business Development Specialist supports the firm’s global M&A practice by partnering with lawyers and the Business Development team to help drive strategic marketing and client development initiatives. This role focuses on preparing client-facing materials, conducting market research, maintaining marketing databases, and coordinating visibility initiatives to support the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pitch materials, RFP responses, and deal sheets for partners and clients
- Conduct market and competitive intelligence research
- Assist with league table and directory submissions
- Maintain practice experience, pitches, and contacts in the firm’s CRM system
- Update lawyer biographies and marketing materials across platforms
- Support marketing events, conferences, and practice visibility initiatives
- Collaborate with Communications, Digital Marketing, and global BD teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred
