Store Manager

At The Good Feet Store, you can earn $78,000–$95,000 with base salary plus personal commissions while helping customers find products that may improve their daily lives. This is a hands-on, performance-driven role for someone motivated by results, commission, and making a difference — selling on the floor every day while leading and developing the store team.

Every sale here begins with listening. We take the time to understand what each customer is experiencing, conduct personalized fittings of our products, and help select the Good Feet arch supports that best fit their needs. We need someone who can connect with customers, communicate value, work through hesitation, and confidently close the sale.

What You Will Do

• Create a personalized customer service and sales experience from the first conversation through closing.
• Ask meaningful questions to understand what the customer is experiencing and what they hope to improve.
• Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and personalized fittings, helping customers select the Good Feet arch supports that best fit their needs.
• Clearly explain the value of the recommended solution, confidently present pricing, and ask for the sale.
• Work through questions, concerns, and hesitation without giving up prematurely, using available financing options to help customers move forward.
• Build strong customer relationships through attentive service and follow-up.
• Consistently work toward sales goals.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations, including opening, closing procedures, and merchandising standards.
• Responsible for sales performance – and tracking results – individually and for the store.
• Coach and develop the sales team by modeling the sales process on the floor, observing fittings, and giving real-time feedback.
• Help onboard and train new team members on product knowledge and our consultative sales process.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and ensuring strong weekend coverage.
• Manage inventory counts, stock levels, and reordering.
• Ensure cash handling, point-of-sale, and financing procedures are followed accurately.
• Manage customer concerns and escalations.

What We Are Looking For

Previous success in commission-based sales, consultative sales, retail sales, or another goal-driven customer-facing role is strongly preferred.

• A results-oriented mindset and motivation to achieve measurable sales performance goals.
• The confidence to discuss premium product solutions, present pricing, and ask for a decision
• Strong relationship building skills and a natural ability to earn trust without applying pressure.
• A willingness to receive coaching and continuously improve.
• Two or more years managing a retail or sales environment.
• The ability to coach and motivate a team while carrying your own individual sales goals.

Physical Requirements

Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, as well as bending, kneeling, and crouching down to floor level, using both hands for repetitive dexterous work, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Schedule

Our stores are open seven days a week; Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekends are our busiest and most important selling days. Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays, and some holidays is required.
