What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Afternoon Floating Teacher position at The Goddard School?
Benefits:
Are you a childcare teacher who genuinely loves all the ages—the giggly infants, the curious toddlers, the imaginative preschoolers? Do you thrive when no two days look exactly the same?
We're looking for a Part-Time Afternoon Floating Teacher who brings warmth, flexibility, and professionalism to wherever the school needs them most.
Hours: 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Monday–Friday | No nights. No weekends.
Why This Role Is Different
Most childcare jobs put you in one room, with one age group, doing the same thing every day. This one doesn't. As a Floating Teacher at The Goddard School of Ashland, you'll move through our classrooms—infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-K, and sometimes our after-school program (K–3rd grade)—bringing your best to wherever it's needed. For the right person, that's not a limitation. It's the best part of the job.
Why Teachers Choose Goddard Ashland
The afternoon shift is its own world—outdoor play, creative exploration, snack and story time, and the warm wind-down before families arrive. Whether you're supporting a toddler room, helping a preschool class finish a project, or greeting after-school kids with a smile, you'll bring the same intentional, caring approach to every classroom you walk into.
Your Role as a Floating Teacher
The Goddard School is a nationally recognized leader in early childhood education. At our Ashland location, we are a family-run school where relationships matter, teachers are supported, and children are truly known and cared for.
Apply today—we'd love to meet you.
Each Goddard School location is privately owned and operated by Goddard Franchisor LLC franchisees. The Goddard School franchise owner(s) are the employers at each school, and the franchise owner(s) set their own wage and benefit programs, which vary by location.
