What are the responsibilities and job description for the FULL TIME Floating Teacher position at The Goddard School?
Benefits:
Are you an early childhood educator who lights up around every age—from the tiniest infants to energetic pre-K kids ready for kindergarten? Are you the teacher who colleagues call on because they know you'll handle anything with professionalism and heart?
We're looking for a Full-Time Floating Teacher who is versatile, dependable, and genuinely loves the full spectrum of early childhood education.
Hours: 8 hours/day | Monday–Friday | No nights. No weekends.
Why This Role Is One of a Kind
At most schools, a floating position sounds like a catch-all. At The Goddard School of Ashland, it's one of the most respected roles on our team — a skilled, trusted professional who knows our school, our children, and our families so well that you can walk into any classroom and make it feel like home.
If you love variety, thrive on building relationships across an entire school community, and want a full-time career—not just a job—this is your role.
Why Teachers Choose Goddard Ashland
Some days you'll step in as the lead — running activities, managing the rhythm of the room, and being the primary teacher children look to. Other days you'll work alongside a lead teacher, adding depth and support where it's needed most. The age group changes. The classroom changes. Your professionalism and care don't.
Your Role as a Full-Time Floating Teacher
The Goddard School is a nationally recognized leader in early childhood education, serving children from six weeks through early elementary. At our Ashland location, we are a family-run school where relationships matter, teachers are supported, and every child is truly known and cared for.
