Jr. Pre-K Teacher (Preschool II) — The Goddard School of Independence
Location: 5701 Lombardo Center Blvd, Independence, OH 44131
Classroom: Jr. Pre-K (older 3s & 4s)
Schedule Options: Full-time or part-time — typical shifts include 8:00am–1:00pm, 1:00pm–6:00pm, or 9:00am–6:00pm
Priority: Reliability for afternoon/close preferred

What You'll Do
- Own the daily rhythm: morning meeting, centers, small groups, outdoor play, rest time, clean-up.
- Teach early academics through play:
- Literacy: read-alouds, letter–sound awareness, name writing, rhyming, syllables
- Math: counting, shapes, patterns, sorting, simple graphs/measurement
- STEM/Discovery: tinkering, predicting, observing, documenting
- Grow social–emotional skills: model problem-solving, friendship skills, turn-taking, confident participation.
- Build independence: handwashing, snack routines, classroom jobs, care of materials.
- Partner with families: quick daily updates and occasional photos; collaborate on goals/progress.
- Keep kids safe: follow health, safety, and sanitizing procedures; maintain an organized classroom.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience in a licensed early childhood setting (lead or assistant; experience with 3s/4s is a plus)

- Meets Ohio requirements (background checks, medicals) and can lift/move up to 50 lbs
