We are looking for an experienced infant teacher who's reliable and ready to work!
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic infant teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team on 23rd and South St! Check us out on instagram @goddard.philly to see our classrooms, students, and how much we love our teachers!
In this role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment tailored specifically for one-year-old children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster their developmental milestones, support their curiosity, and promote positive social interactions. As a vital part of our childcare community, you will implement age-appropriate activities that encourage growth in all areas of childhood development, ensuring each child feels valued and supported on their early learning journey.
Duties
- Design and execute engaging daily activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development for one-year-olds.
- Provide attentive supervision and care, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child at all times.
- Support children’s language development through interactive storytelling, singing, and conversational engagement.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other essential caregiving tasks in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Observe and document each child's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members to support individualized growth plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive learning experience that aligns with early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is a must!
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive behavior management techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in a lively and supportive manner.
- Experience in childcare, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles demonstrating responsibility for young children’s safety.
