Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Administrator to oversee the operations of a small Montessori school of approximately 60 children and an extended care program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, educational expertise, and experience managing educational environments. This role involves ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and coordinating daily activities to support student development and staff effectiveness.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the small school and extended care program, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations for educational programs
- Ensure compliance with mandatory training, health, safety, and environmental inspections
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community partners
- Coordinate scheduling, enrollment procedures, and student assessments
- Monitor safety protocols and maintain a secure environment for children and staff
- Prepare reports for licensing agencies and administrative leadership as needed
- Facilitate communication between staff, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being
Requirements
- Valid coursework or experience to qualify for licensure as an administrator for educational or childcare programs (https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/works_simulator/earlyChildhoodAdmin.html)
- Higher education teaching experience or background in education administration preferred
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
- Experience working with university programs or similar academic environments is a plus

- Knowledge of licensing standards for small schools and extended care programs
