About The Role
We're hiring an Asphalt Laborer to support our paving operations through a variety of manual tasks on job sites.
This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, clean, and efficient project progress by assisting skilled workers, handling materials, and maintaining work areas.
What You'll Do
- Perform various manual tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Help prepare job sites by clearing obstacles and addressing potential hazards
- Transport, handle, and manage construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks
- Provide support to skilled workers such as Operators, Flaggers, and others
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site
- Properly dispose of waste and debris according to safety and environmental guidelines
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or issues promptly
- Maintain constant awareness of the construction site and surroundings, including equipment and worker safety
- Maintain regular in-person attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 150 lbs with assistance
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and tolerate noise, odors, and construction-related elements
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and crouching for extended periods
- Ability to handle construction materials, tools, and equipment with manual dexterity
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions
- Periodic exposure to high noise levels, grease, dust, and chemicals (gasoline, diesel, etc.)
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities based on project needs
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Willingness to learn, with a positive attitude, dependability, and strong teamwork
- Professional communication with supervisors and other team members
- Commitment to representing the company in a positive, professional manner
