About the RoleThe Geospatial Group is seeking a GIS Analyst to support local government clients through the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions.
In this role, you will work directly with departments such as 911/public safety, public works, tax assessment, planning, and community engagement to deliver practical geospatial workflows, applications, dashboards, and data solutions that help communities operate more effectively.

What You’ll Do- Implement, configure, and support Esri ArcGIS solutions, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Work directly with local government staff to understand operational needs and translate them into effective GIS workflows
- Configure ArcGIS applications, dashboards, maps, and related tools
- Support GIS use cases across public safety, infrastructure, land records, planning, and community services
- Assist with GIS data maintenance, updates, quality control, and best-practice data management
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and support ongoing solution maintenance
- Provide client training, technical support, and solution guidance
- Participate in client meetings, project delivery, implementation activities, and regional travel as needed
- Collaborate with internal team members on solution design, deployment, and long-term client support
- Clients are successfully adopting and using GIS solutions in their daily operations
- Local government workflows are improved through better data, maps, dashboards, and applications
- GIS systems are reliable, well-maintained, and aligned with client needs
- Client relationships are built on trust, responsiveness, and strong technical support
- Projects are delivered successfully and contribute to long-term client satisfaction
- Experience with the Esri ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and/or ArcGIS Enterprise
- Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data, mapping, and analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A client-focused mindset and willingness to support local government users
- Experience supporting local government workflows such as 911/public safety, public works, tax assessment, planning, or community development
- Experience working in or supporting AWS environments
- Familiarity with GIS integrations, web applications, or cloud-based GIS deployments
- Experience participating in GIS implementation, migration, or modernization projects
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Python or scripting for GIS automation
- SQL and database management, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms
- ArcGIS Enterprise administration, configuration, or deployment
- Web GIS application development, including ArcGIS Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder, or JavaScript APIs
- Data integration, ETL workflows, and GIS data migration
- GIS data modeling, quality assurance, and system documentation
