Bartender / Server:
Must have experience bar tending with some server experience
Hourly Rate - $17
Shifts - Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
Bartender until 6:00 pm, then Server until 8:00 pm

Bartender/ Server: Responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in bars and restaurants. The bartender takes orders, provides recommendations, processes payments, maintains inventory, and ensures compliance with alcohol laws, all while managing a clean and efficient workspace. Bartenders are required to serve at dinner after happy hour ends and pick up tables as scheduled.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Dining Room Manager.
Principle Accountabilities:
CUSTOMER SERVICE & COMMUNICATION
● Prepares beverages correctly, in a timely manner, and in priority of customer orders.
● Demonstrates excellent listening skills and communicates effectively while conveying patience and understanding.
● Treats all customers with dignity and respect and establishes a trusting relationship with them, while maintaining confidence.
● Learns about beverage selections and their preparation, communicates them thoroughly and descriptively to customers, answers questions and presents additional information, as needed.
● Demonstrates knowledge of Member names and Member drink preferences.
● Creates a pleasant environment by clearing empty glasses and asking customers for additional orders in a timely manner and by continually maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the lounge area.
● Cleans, maintains, and restocks the bar throughout and at the end of shift. Turns over the bar to other Team Members in impeccable order.
● Stops serving Members and guests who have consumed the established limit and diplomatically responds to any further orders for alcoholic beverages.
● Assumes the responsibility Server after bar closes and as assigned by Manager.
● Demonstrates knowledge of The Garlands’ entire facility and directs customers appropriately, according to their needs.
● Answers telephone calls promptly, providing callers with courteous and professional assistance. Responds to callers’ requests in a timely manner.
● Wears appropriate uniform and dresses for the theme of special events.
ADMINISTRATION
● Completes order forms in a timely manner for supplies as necessary.
● Completes Incident Reports accurately and timely.
● Completes Concern Reports accurately and timely.
Financial:
● Maintains accurate cash drawer on every shift. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
● Must be a flexible, highly customer service and people oriented individual who demonstrates compassion, patience and understanding and is willing to do whatever it takes to provide the highest level of service.
● Must be well organized with the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and changing priorities, while maintaining an upbeat, customer focus.
● Must be a team-oriented individual who enjoys working collaboratively with others, creating a positive and uplifting environment, and communicating very effectively at all levels.
● Must be detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to take initiative, follow through and complete responsibilities with minimal supervision.
● Knowledge about drink making is preferred.
● Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and holidays.
● Takes pride in personal appearance and professional demeanor.
● Experience having worked as a bartender previously.
● Possesses the written, verbal and numerical skills normally acquired through a high school education.
Physical Requirements:
● Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
● Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
