- Lead, coach, and develop a remote sales team to meet individual and team performance targets.
- Set clear sales goals, monitor key performance indicators, and provide regular performance feedback and reporting.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales representatives; support licensing completion and ongoing professional development.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and best practices to improve lead conversion and client retention.
- Assist team members with complex cases, escalations, and underwriting coordination; collaborate with underwriting, product, and operations teams to resolve client issues.
- Maintain accurate records of team activities and client interactions in CRM and internal platforms; ensure adherence to documentation standards.
- Participate in product and compliance training; keep the team informed of product updates, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory changes.
- Support a client-focused culture by promoting consultative sales approaches and high standards of service quality.
- Proven experience managing sales representatives, preferably in life insurance, mortgage protection, annuities, or related financial services.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and improving team performance.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills with professional telephone and email etiquette.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, quote/issuance platforms, and remote sales workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with reliable internet access and an appropriate workspace.
- Authorization to work in the United States and willingness to obtain relevant state insurance license(s) in a timely manner; licensing support provided.
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
- Prior experience leading small or distributed sales teams in a fully remote environment.
- Experience with coaching for consultative selling and policy administration processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for insurance sales and recordkeeping.
- Bachelor’s degree or additional industry certifications preferred but not required.
