DSP Needed Mon-Fri, Private Home Case - Industry High Wages
This position is for Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm
The hours needed are Monday-Friday 8am-2pm to assist with ADLs, home management, and community activities. He uses a motorized wheelchair, so the ideal DSP(s) would also be comfortable driving the family’s wheelchair accessible vehicle for recreation as well as medical appointments as needed.

About the Role:
As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with an adult with disabilities—supporting life skills, community engagement, and personal goals such as independence, socialization, work and some ADL's.
You’ll help the individual participate meaningfully in their communities while encouraging autonomy, safety, and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with individuals in homes and community settings
- Assist with daily living (e.g., hygiene, dressing, meal prep)
- Assist in medication administration as needed
- Help plan and participate in community activities and outings
- Document progress and report changes in behavior or health
- Follow support plans (NJISP) and agency policies
- Use your own vehicle to transport individuals (mileage reimbursed)
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with I/DD or in caregiving, education, or advocacy (preferred)
- Must be physically able to assist with mobility and personal care
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
