The Director of Development is a full-time, on-site position located in Decatur, GA. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the school’s development program, including planning and implementing strategies for annual giving, planned giving, and fundraising campaigns. Responsibilities include cultivating relationships with donors, managing budgets, coordinating philanthropic activities, and ensuring effective communication regarding fundraising efforts. Collaboration with school leadership, faculty, and stakeholders to align development efforts with the school’s mission is an integral part of this role.
- Experience and expertise in Planned Giving and Annual Giving strategies.
- Proficiency in Philanthropy and Fundraising practices to cultivate donor relationships and manage campaigns effectively.
- Budgeting skills to develop and manage financial plans for development initiatives.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in the education or nonprofit sector is a plus.
