Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Traveling Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces across various construction sites, ensuring smooth, level, and durable finishes. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to blueprints and schematics
- Operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and lifting machinery safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project specifications
- Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, plastering, stucco, tile laying, flooring installation, and trim carpentry to achieve desired surface quality
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for concrete finishing tasks across multiple sites
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, rebar installation, or related construction roles with site experience across commercial or residential projects
- Mechanical knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics reading
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, pumps, and other relevant machinery
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of masonry, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, roofing, restoration techniques including plastering and stucco applications
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights on various construction sites
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred; willingness to travel extensively
