Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager at Fresh Monkee, your primary responsibility is to assist the General Manager fulfill the operations requirements and handcraft and serve truly healthy shakes for customers. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for every guest. Your skills in preparing high-quality shakes, as well as your friendly and engaging personality, will contribute to the overall success of the business.

Operational Support:

• Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining operational efficiency.

• Help manage staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage to meet customer demands.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers (if needed) to ensure timely deliveries.

• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality

Customer Service:

• Memorize 30 recipes and be able to prepare multiple shakes at once. Prepare shakes per customer requests.

• Interact with customers regularly and professionally, answer questions about the nutritional benefits of our shakes and make recommendations based on customers' goals.

• Increase ticket sales by recommending and promoting add ons to customers

• Support the GM in ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met.

• Address customer inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.

• Assist in training and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

• Collaborate with GM to develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Staff Management & Training

• Assist in recruiting, hiring and onboarding new employees.

• Help train and develop team members, ensuring they have necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

• Support the GM in providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.

• Retraining / refreshing procedures if needed.

• Collaborate with the GM to create a positive and motivated team environment.

Financial Management

• Support the GM in monitoring financial performance, including sales, expenses and profitability.

• Assist in maintaining accurate records and handling cash management procedures.

• Help implement strategies to optimize costs, reduce waste, and increase revenue.

Health and Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, including equipment maintenance.

• Help enforce proper food storage and handling practices to ensure product quality and safety

Collaboration, Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with the GM and other AM (if applicable) to ensure effective collaboration and teamwork.

• Act as a role model for staff, promoting a positive and professional work environment and excellent shop vibe.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be dependable and flexible with availability.

• Ability to work quickly, multi-task with common sense and stay calm under pressure. Listen and communicate effectively.

• Must be available for shop emergencies and available in the absence of the GM

• Understand "all in" when it comes to running your own shop

• Strong attention to detail

• Proven working experience in restaurant industry

• Cash and key handling responsibilities.
