The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and other government import requirements. This role supports import operations by reviewing customs documentation, maintaining compliance processes, assisting with audits, and collaborating with internal stakeholders, vendors, and third-party service providers.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Although the position is primarily remote, candidates within commuting distance of the Marlborough, MA office are preferred, as occasional onsite attendance may be required for training, meetings, or business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Review vendor documentation for customs compliance and classification accuracy.
- Support compliance audits and validations, including AD/CVD reviews and HTS code verification.
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Create and maintain reports for internal teams and third-party providers.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Support onboarding activities for new vendors.
- Assist with billing and invoice-related processes.
- Monitor productivity and performance of third-party service providers.
- Audit reports to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct online research related to customs and trade compliance matters.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Experience in Customs Compliance, Trade Compliance, Import Operations, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, flexible attitude.
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) strongly preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with customs classification, HTS codes, AD/CVD reviews, and import compliance audits.
