Job Details:
- Pay: $28/hr to Start!!
- 6-month assignment, possibility for conversion/extension based on performance and budget.
- 2-2-3-night shift from 6:00pm-6:00am. Training will be on day shift for 8 weeks: 6:00am-4:00pm.
- Position will be mainly responsible for supporting the upkeep, appearance, and functionality of plant facilities and exterior grounds and will be working under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Maintenance Supervisor while developing foundational building maintenance skills
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance on lighting, drains, and simple building systems such as painting, caulking, patching walls, door adjustments, replacing fixtures, and plumbing leaks repairs.
- Assist in basic electrical repairs (<480V) under supervision, replacing lamps, etc.
- Participate in training on ammonia awareness, LOTO, confined space and other safety awareness programs.
- Keep accurate logs and work safely per GMP, SQF, and OSHA standards.
- Perform routine PMs and visual checks on plant utilities components.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is Required!
- 1 years of experience of general maintenance or industrial mechanical is Preferred!
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and interest in refrigeration systems is Required!
- Knowledge of basic safety awareness such as LOTO, PPE, and hazard recognition is Required!
- Ability to read and follow basic instructions, procedures, and schematics is Required!
- Basic electrical or HVAC coursework or equivalent experience is Preferred!
- Ability to obtain EPA 608 Universal Certification within 12 months (company-supported) is Required!
- Knowledge of CMMS systems or maintenance documentation is Preferred!
