Lab Manager

Lab Manager (Contract)

Location: Cambridge, MA

Pay Rate: Up to $60.00/hour

We are seeking a hands-on Lab Manager to support small molecule process development within a fast-paced R&D environment. This role provides on-site laboratory and equipment support, ensures operational readiness, and supports scientists conducting experimental work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Perform experimental protocols and generate data
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and shipping of chemicals and supplies
• Coordinate equipment service, installations, and IT troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and training requirements
• Support domestic and international chemical sample shipments
  
  

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Chemistry or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 3 years of relevant laboratory experience - Experience coming from Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry PREFERRED
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment maintenance - Experience with HPLC instrumentation troubleshooting PREFERRED
• Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
