What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Technician, In-Vivo position at The Fountain Group?
- Pay: 29.93/hr.
- Length of Assignment: 1 year to start with potential for extension or conversion.
- 40 hours per week, but will need to be available some weekends. Weekend hours are sporadic but could be several in a row as needed. Weekend support would include both Saturday and Sunday for 5-6 hours total for the weekend. Would take time off during the week when working weekends. No OT approved for this role.
- Reports to Director, In-Vivo Pharmacology. Internal relationships include working with technical and scientific members of the in vivo team, Laboratory animal sciences staff, Lab Operations, Research Associates and Research Scientists locally and globally.
- Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements.
- Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection
- Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC.
- Responsible for performing high level of animal handing, dosing, sample collections and data recordings. Contribute technical assistance to research projects in the NNRC rodent facility.
