What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Technician, In-Vivo position at The Fountain Group?
Pay: 29.93/hr.
Length of Assignment: 1 year to start with potential for extension or conversion.
40 hours per week, but will need to be available some weekends. Weekend hours are sporadic but could be several in a row as needed. Weekend support would include both Saturday and Sunday for 5-6 hours total for the weekend. Would take time off during the week when working weekends. No OT approved for this role.
Reports to Director, In-Vivo Pharmacology. Internal relationships include working with technical and scientific members of the in vivo team, Laboratory animal sciences staff, Lab Operations, Research Associates and Research Scientists locally and globally.
Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements.
Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection
Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC.
Responsible for performing high level of animal handing, dosing, sample collections and data recordings. Contribute technical assistance to research projects in the NNRC rodent facility.
