What Success Looks Like In This Role
Within your first 90 days, you will:
- Complete routine facility inspections and address issues proactively
- Follow and contribute to preventive maintenance schedules and documentation
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and organizational policies
- Support a clean, functional environment for residents and staff
Preventive & Routine Maintenance
- Perform daily and routine inspections of campus facilities
- Assist with planning and documenting preventive maintenance schedules
- Identify, diagnose, and repair facility and equipment issues
- Complete repairs and replacements related to facilities and equipment
- Assist with major repairs as needed
- Respond to on-call maintenance needs during nights, weekends, and holidays
- Identify and address safety hazards promptly
- Follow safety procedures to protect residents, staff, and property
- Assist housekeeping as needed to maintain clean and safe environments
- Maintain basic maintenance logs and documentation
- Support cross-training and shared knowledge of equipment and systems
- Complete additional duties as assigned
- Ability to diagnose and complete general maintenance repairs independently
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to respond calmly to urgent or emergency maintenance needs
- Reliability and willingness to participate in mandatory on-call rotation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Age 21 or older
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated commercial maintenance experience
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in residential, campus, or institutional maintenance settings
