Law firm is hiring a Calendar Clerk to manage legal deadlines:
- Accurately calculate, calendar, and track all deadlines related to court filings, discovery, and other legal proceedings.
- Schedule appointments, depositions, hearings, and conference calls with attorneys, clients, courts, and other parties.
- Manage case information, documents, and files, and help ensure that all necessary information is readily accessible.
- Draft and send notices, reports, and other correspondence to internal and external parties. You may also need to communicate with court personnel and opposing counsel to confirm or adjust schedules.
- Create and distribute daily or weekly calendar reports to keep attorneys and staff informed of upcoming events.
Qualifications and skills
- Prior legal calendaring experience is often required, with a minimum of one year being common for some positions.
- Expertise in using calendaring software (such as CompuLaw) and standard office software, like Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, is essential.
- Meticulous attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy in scheduling and deadline management.
