Brandy Rice with The Forum Group PNW is working with a mission oriented local company to find a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting and finance operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As finance technology and automation continue to evolve, experience leveraging AI and emerging tools to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, analysis, and scalability will be highly valued. This role partners closely with operations and leadership teams to help build scalable financial processes that support continued company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation in partnership with the Controller and CFO.
• Support intercompany accounting activities and maintain accurate multi-entity balancing.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support treasury and banking functions, including cash management and credit card reconciliations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify process improvements and help streamline the month-end close process.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.
• Provide backup support for accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and customer communication.
• Participate in cross-functional accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• MBA, CPA, or CMA designation preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working within a robust ERP environment.
• AI fluency and experience utilizing automation or emerging finance technologies strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing, cost accounting, or public accounting experience is a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
