The Fordy Group are proud to be partnering with a leading heavy civil General Contractor to recruit experienced Project Managers for their growing Utilities Construction Division.

As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering complex underground utility infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to successful completion. You'll lead projects that make a lasting impact on communities while working alongside highly experienced professionals in a collaborative, safety-first environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Project Leadership
- Lead utility construction projects from planning and pre-construction through to closeout.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and overall project performance.
- Oversee the installation of underground utilities including water mains, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and pipeline systems.
- Identify project risks early and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and support project teams including superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and preconstruction teams to resolve challenges before they impact delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear communication and exceptional project execution.
- Foster a collaborative, team-first culture that drives successful project outcomes.
Safety & Quality
- Champion a proactive safety culture across every project.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain exceptional quality standards and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of Project Management or Assistant Project Manager experience within heavy civil or utility construction.
- Strong understanding of underground utility installation and site development.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience delivering Design-Build or Turnkey projects.
- Knowledge of trenchless technology, excavation, grading, and earthworks.
- Proficiency with construction management software.
Work Environment
- Split between office-based project management and active construction sites.
- Regular travel to project locations.
- Hands-on involvement in dynamic heavy civil construction environments.
