Job Description
The Ford Agency is actively seeking a Senior Accounting professional to join the accounting team of a prominent Bethesda-based firm. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and accounts payable experience, proficiency with accounting software (Sage and Concur preferred), and a proven ability to manage reconciliations, reporting, and process improvements. This is a temp-to-hire role and is available immediately.
Responsibilities Include:
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.

Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, journal entries, and cash entries
- Research and resolve accounting transaction issues
- Manage accounts payable processing, expense reports, and purchase orders
- Reconcile credit card statements and propose process improvements
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, audited financial statements, and budget analyses
- Support tax compliance reporting and FP&A-related reporting
- Document finance policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls
- Assist with departmental initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years' corporate accounting and accounts payable experience
- CPA or in progress a plus
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Concur a plus
- Strong expertise in MS Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and stakeholder needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to process improvement
