TITLE: Volunteer Coordinator – Repacking Room CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Non-Benefit Eligible SUPERVISOR: Volunteer Room Supervisor SCHEDULE: Rotating Hours – Open Monday/Friday 8 – 5; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8 – 7:30; Saturday 8 – 3. POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Volunteer Coordinator requires someone who can create a fun and engaging atmosphere for our volunteers to work in and acknowledge their efforts by helping them understand how their work connects to The Food Bank’s mission at large. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- be able to work with volunteers with varying levels of capacity
- wear steel-toe shoes
- Associate's degree or 3 years of applicable experience (in areas such as event coordination, service work, education, etc.)
- Adequately plan ahead to coordinate and execute day-to-day volunteer projects on a timely basis
- Setup and break down for each specific project
- Instructing and training volunteers on proper repacking procedures while observing safe food handling guidelines
- Diligent monitoring of volunteers to ensure that proper procedures are being followed
- Follow inventory and tracking procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized volunteer room
- Track and maintain safe food temperatures
- Monitor Volunteers for appropriate community service hours
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the volunteer break room
- A willingness to learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner
- Work with the Volunteer Program Coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing for volunteer activities on evenings/Saturdays
- Work at all times to maintain the image of The Food Bank as a positive one in the public view, most specifically as it pertains to the critical nature of volunteer relations
Salary : $14 - $16
