Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Culinary Lead to elevate our food offerings and inspire our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production in a quick service or casual dining setting
- Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all menu items
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety standards, proper handling techniques, and culinary skills to foster continuous development
- Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Assist in shift management by coordinating staff schedules, overseeing performance, and supporting team members to deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation within a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a strong background in cooking techniques
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in kitchen management or culinary leadership roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and sales tracking
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, and food cost management
- Experience working in casual dining or quick service restaurants; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities
- Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
- Hospitality management background including team management, training & development, and restaurant operations expertise
