We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Design Consultant for our Burlingame Outlet location.
This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role focused on helping customers find the right flooring solutions in an outlet setting. If you enjoy working with customers, closing sales, and being part of a team-driven environment, we would love to meet you.
Position Summary
The Sales Design Consultant is responsible for generating sales through professional customer engagement, product knowledge, and solution-based recommendations. This position focuses on cash-and-carry and quick-turn sales, while still providing a high level of customer service and product guidance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate flooring solutions
- Drive sales through product knowledge and effective closing techniques
- Prepare quotes and process transactions using QFloors POS system
- Maintain awareness of outlet inventory and promote available products
- Follow up with customers as needed to close sales opportunities
- Maintain showroom organization, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Comply with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Prior retail or sales experience required (home improvement or flooring industry preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a goal-oriented, fast-paced sales environment
- Comfortable discussing pricing and closing sales
- Basic math and computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform showroom-related tasks

Compensation
Pay Range (Burlingame, CA): $23.00 – $26.00 per hour
Actual starting rate will depend on experience and qualifications.
This position is eligible to earn up to 3% commission on completed sales, in accordance with the Company’s commission plan.
This is a non-exempt position. Overtime is paid in accordance with California law.
Total earnings will vary based on individual performance.
