Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Appfolio for property management and handle inter company finances.
- Record and verify journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data in a timely.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Prepare financial reports, including statements related to budgets, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments is ideal.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices preferred.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is advantageous.
- Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and budget management is highly desirable.
