What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lexington Farmers Market Vendor position at The Fisherman and the Farmer?
The Fisherman and the Farmer sells prepackaged freshly frozen seafood caught on NC's Outer Banks. We are currently looking for a part time employee to vend for us at the Lexington Farmers Market and to fill in on occasion as an alternate at the Cobblestone Farmers Market in Winston-Salem. This is a good opportunity for someone who is outgoing, responsible, and interested in the local food scene to make a little extra money.
Duties
- Set up and organize your booth at the Lexington Farmers Market
- Engage with shop customers to increase sales
- Handle all cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) system
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selections, and maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Keep product frozen during markets and transport
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your booth area throughout the market day
- Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that promote featured products
