Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, ovens, and food prep tools while following safety protocols
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, or trash disposal in accordance with safety standards
- Follow food safety management practices to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic knife skills beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy setting
- Experience with banquet or large-scale food prep is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Food Handlers required
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively within a team
