About the Role:
The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the Durable Goods Manufacturing industry by ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products within the warehouse. This position is responsible for operating various types of forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely and accurately. The operator will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and conducting routine inspections of equipment. By effectively managing inventory and assisting in order fulfillment, the Forklift Operator contributes significantly to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing process. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts and pallet jacks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a durable goods manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanning technology.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from delivery trucks and storage areas, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and assist in order picking processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
