About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician II plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment at the Country Club Rd Plant. This position is responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in durable goods manufacturing. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance, directly impacting product quality and plant productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential equipment failures and implementing solutions before issues escalate. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician II contributes to maintaining a safe, reliable, and compliant manufacturing environment that supports the company’s operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within durable goods manufacturing.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Forklift certification and experience operating plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspections, and parts inventory management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing equipment upgrades or process enhancements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff to build team capability.
