About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician 2 plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment at the Country Club Rd Plant. This position is responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a variety of durable goods manufacturing machinery and systems. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance, directly impacting product quality and plant productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential mechanical and electrical issues before they escalate, thereby supporting a safe and reliable manufacturing environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician 2 contributes to sustaining high operational standards and supporting the plant’s overall manufacturing goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Previous experience in durable goods manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules and document all maintenance activities accurately in the maintenance management system.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime and restore equipment to full operation.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
