Dishwasher / Pantry Cook
The Farmstand Café & Market | Vermont | Part-Time / Full-Time
Farmstand Café is looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Pantry Cook to join our kitchen team.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with food, staying busy, and being part of a team. The role combines dishwashing and kitchen support with pantry/prep responsibilities, making it a good fit for someone who wants to build or expand their kitchen experience.
What You’ll Do
Dishwashing & Kitchen Support
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked
- Maintain clean floors, work surfaces, and kitchen areas
- Take out trash and recycling as needed
- Help with closing and cleaning duties
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service
Pantry / Prep
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, cold dishes, sauces, and grab-and-go items
- Assist line as needed with fry station / some cooking.
- Complete basic food preparation such as chopping, portioning, and assembling
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures
- Keep the pantry station clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Help maintain production and prep lists
- Assist with stocking the grab-and-go case and catering production
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and able to stay productive during busy & slow periods
- Comfortable working on your feet for an extended period
- Able to lift and carry kitchen supplies and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Team-oriented and positive attitude
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is helpful but not required
Schedule
We are looking for someone with flexible availability, including weekends. Part-time or full-time hours may be available for the right person. Shifts generally run 7am - 3pm.
