What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook/Dishwasher position at RICHMOND ELEMENTARY?
The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is seeking a School Nutrition Assistant to work with our team at Richmond Elementary School. As the School Nutrition Assistant, you are a vital member of the Nutrition Team. We're looking for a self-starter who is able to work independently, provide excellent service to our students and staff and collaborate with other members of our Nutrition Team to provide nurtitional, healthy meals to our students. Candidates must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, carry and lift supplies and walk for long periods of time.
What you'll do:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean trays, dishes, utensils, pots, and serving equipment
- Scrape, sort, and pre-rinse items before washing
- Sanitize and properly store cleaned items
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish room, including sinks, counters, and floors
- Support the kitchen team with general cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Interact with students in a friendly supportive manner
