Origin is a breakfast, brunch and craft coffee restaurant in beautiful Aspen, CO. We're known for our from-scratch and technique-driven approach using local, high-quality ingredients. With an equally fantastic coffee program and a commitment to exceptional service, we're excited to expand our team at Origin by The Farmer and Chef with a line cook position, integral to our culinary team.
Origin is a newly opened restaurant, located in the iconic Gant hotel, offering delightful breakfast and lunch options and a curated coffee program.
We're Hiring: BREAKFAST LINE COOK
Hours:
- 6:30 AM to 12:30 or 2:30PM, 5 days per week. Different schedules available.
- Part-time and full-time positions available. Flexibility for weekend shifts is required.
What You'll Do:
- Cook Up a Storm: Prepare and cook meals according to our menu specifications with flair and precision.
- Menu Magic: Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute delicious dishes, and assist with menu planning.
- Clean and Tidy: Maintain a clean and organized work station while following food handling and safety procedures.
- Inventory Insights: Monitor inventory levels, communicate shortages, and assist with ordering supplies.
- Creative Cooking: Suggest new dishes using the freshest, most seasonal ingredients from our local farm partners to keep our menu fresh and exciting.
- Event Ready: Assist in catering events as needed with your culinary expertise.
Experience:
- At least 2 years in a hands-on culinary operation.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques like pickling, braising, poaching, and more.
- Experience with recording inventory and ordering products.
- Proven ability to work in a kitchen with a positive attitude.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proficient knife skills.
- English proficiency
Pay Offer: $21-$26/hr plus tip share DOE
