Job Title: Welcome Center Representative
Type: PT - 20 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Schedule:
Opening Shift- M-F 5:15AM-11:15 AM (4- 5 days per week)
20-29 Hours a week

Position Overview:
Join our Member Services Team as a Welcome Center Representative and be the welcoming face of The Family YMCA! In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, build relationships, and assist with membership sales and program registrations. Your positive attitude and professional demeanor will create an inviting environment for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist members and guests with a friendly and helpful attitude. Provide information about memberships, programs, and events.
- Sales and Registration: Process memberships and program registrations accurately, handle monetary transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Safety and Security: Ensure all check-in and check-out procedures are followed, and verify payments for classes and programs.
- Communication: Answer phones courteously, give facility tours, and address member concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
- Administrative Duties: Complete daily opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures. Maintain inventory and accurate documentation.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organized. Assist with light housekeeping duties.
- Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings and training sessions. Promote YMCA values and community involvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required (or in active progress).
- Experience: Prior customer service experience preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Skills: Excellent communication (oral and written), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
- Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform essential clerical functions.
- Adequate vision and hearing for interacting with members and reviewing documents.
- Legible handwriting and the ability to work in a high-activity environment.
